Matt Dallas plays a teenage boy who wakes up (bizarrely enough) naked in a forest near Seattle, with the knowledge, skills level and abilities of a new born child.He has no family and can’t communicate at all with his rescuers. He is taken to a psychiatric facility where Nicole Trager is a doctor, and soon taken in by the Tragers and given the name Kyle. To shed even more mystery on the events, on a medical examination Kyle is observed to be missing his belly button.

The series follows Kyle as he struggles to put the pieces of his life back together and to remember his forgotten identity. The hypothesis of him being an alien, a fugitive or a missing child who lost his memory are equally likely, as not Kyle nor the police seem to have any lead.

Kyle turns out to be an extremely fast learner like all children are, but surprisingly proves quite the little genius, being able to accumulate huge amounts of information in a very short period of time. He learns what sleep is and what to call thevariety of emotions he starts to experience.He also begins to grow on the Trager family.

Throughout the episodes, Kyle’s voice narrates and describes his small “discoveries” as he himself lives to makes them. His observations refer to the realities of life, both positive and negative. In the meantime, Kyle finds out he is strangely attracted to the sky and the stars.
