“Greek” is a comedy-drama following the lives of the students of the fictional Cyprus-Rhodes University (CRU), located in Ohio, who participate in the Greek system of schooling.
The show’s plots often take place within the confines oftwo fraternities, Kappa Tau Gamma (ΚΤΓ) and Omega Chi Delta (ΩΧΔ) and the Zeta Beta Zeta (ΖΒZ) sorority.Non-Greek characters and situations are also introduced throughout the course of the show, but they all tie into larger relationships with the Greeks.
Freshman life in college has its own special charm, its ups and downs. At the heart of the series is the sibling relationship between Casey, popular student at CRU and an active member of the Zeta Beta Zeta Surority (the top surority in campus) and her freshman brother Rusty, who is trying to shed his highschool geek reputation.
The producers recognize that while it is a show about families, it is not necessarily for families, believing it is important that the authenticity of college life be portrayed.
Casey’s has to make tiny adjustments to her college life the moment her little brother arrives on campus, as a freshman. At the end of the they however, the two are pleased to have shared a good laugh and be there for each other.
